Product Expiry OpenERP v7

Hello Readers, We want to provide information on Expiration feature of product in OpenERP. Many of us are aware of this very important feature. We came across the use of this feature while implementing OpenERP for a food based manufacturer.

SerpentCS is providing its services like OpenERP Training, OpenERP Implementation, OpenERP Development, OpenERP Migration and OpenERP Support.

Let's have a look at the important feature.

  • The OpenERP module “product_expiry”, controls the expiry of production lots. The module modifies the product and production lot forms to add some new fields.
  • For the use this feature of product expiry management, user must have installed the module named “Product Expiry Date” displayed as following:Product Expiry OpenERP v7
  • After Installing the module user can find some new fields in Product Form and Stock Production Lot Form
  • In Product form four new fields (as display in Red Box in below image) will appear after the installation of the module. The four new fields define the expiry related days of that particular product.
